"Wander About Me" is a feature-length narrative film directed by Ghazaleh Soltani. It follows the story of a woman on the brink of turning thirty, who decides to adopt a child from a state welfare organization. As she pursues this deeply personal and moral decision, she unexpectedly finds herself entangled in the dark and complex world of infant trafficking. With a quiet, introspective tone, the film explores the fragile line between ethical intention and the harsh realities of society.
After the release of the film, the restrictive laws passed by the parliament regarding child adoption by single women resurfaced in public discourse and helped reignite the legislative process.
